Asda Foundation Grant

Here's the moment our Kirkcaldy store's community champion Jean surprised Liza from Autism Rocks (Fife) with the news the charity had received £17,640 of funding from the Asda Foundation.

The charity is one of 79 community groups across the UK receiving a total of £1.25m from the Asda Foundation's Local Community Spaces fund. The grants are aimed at revitalising local spaces where people connect, access vital services and build stronger communities. The grant to Autism Rocks (Fife) will cover upgrades to the charity’s recently extended site, transforming an adjacent church into a calming, sensory-friendly environment, and funding the installation of essential safety fencing around the centre’s outside area. Liz said: "I was lost for words when I heard the news – it came as a massive surprise for us, and it’s one we’re hugely grateful to the Asda Foundation for."

Jean said: "It was a very emotional morning, something that made clear just how much this grant will impact the charity’s already amazing work, helping them go from strength to strength. I can’t wait to hear how the transformation progresses, and see how the improvements enhance the space for everyone who uses the centre."

Save our centre!!!

**IMPORTANT PLEASE READ**

Good afternoon everyone . As you are all aware , our current situation has brought upon the need for us to ask for financial support to allow us to continue our services as well as expand. The church of Scotland have decided to sell the building that we occupy as well as the attached church, leaving us nowhere to go as there are no other suitable buildings available to us .

If you can donate then please please do. There are 3300 of us here. We can do this !! Every single penny helps. **We are at risk of loosing our Kaleidoscope centre if we cannot raise the funds required. ***

As well as needing the financial support, i would also like to ask that everyone who has used our centre in the past and who attends regularly, can you write a letter of support stating how vital our centre is to our families. We truly cannot loose Kaleidoscope . There is nowhere for us to go. So we need as many support letters as we can get. You can email me at autismrocksfife@outlook.com with your letter . I would really appreciate the support on this so much . https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/autism-rocks-fife?utm_medium=campaign&utm_content=campaign%2Fautism-rocks-fife&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=005

Thank you in advance.
